The Commission of Enquiry into the arrears of Police and Lighting Rates was appointed on the 27th July 1865.
The Commissioners sent in their Report on the 16th of December 1865; five months after the members had been called together.
It appears that no action was taken upon the Report till the 8th of March (three months later) when the Acting Governor forwarded it, the Report to ...
